Just had 1-2-1 online lesson – absolutely brilliant!!!💪❤️
Very clear, informative, structural, and GREAT FUN as well!!😃💪.Was worried that I won’t be able to understand it online, but Jon explained everything perfectly clear! Looking forward for another one! Thank you very much Jon!!💪😃

I just took my first online kashaka class with Jon and it was great. I’ve been a drummer/percussionist for 20 years and found it very difficult to learn this unique instrument on my own. After one lesson I grasped the basic technique, as well as a few tricks, and felt confident that I had learned what I needed to develop the basic skills needed to play the kashaka. I have been teaching music to make a living for over 10 years, and I thought Jon’s lesson was very professional, he packed a lot into the lesson and made sure I understood everything he taught before moving on the next technique/concept. I’m from Seattle and I don’t know anyone else who plays kashaka, so was really happy to find that lessons are available online to anyone in the world who wants to learn. I would consider yourself lucky if you are interested in learning the play the kashaka and have stumbled upon this website.

So far I’ve had two Kashaka lessons with Jon. He’s a patient, encouraging teacher and an accomplished Kashaka player who does a fantastic job of pacing the lessons according to your ability.

Before booking a lesson with Jon I had never had any music tuition before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. In the two sessions I’ve had so far, my playing come on in leaps and bounds thanks to Jon’s friendly nature and talent for teaching music.

There’s still so much to learn, so I’ll definitely book again in the future.

  6. Daphne (verified owner)
