Kashaka Pro® – Large (50mm):

Kashaka Pro®  – ‘Made to be played’

Kashaka Pro® – Large are a 50mm version of the Kashaka Pro. The materials, sound & strength is of the same high quality. They are very strong, and, being larger they have a slightly deeper, mellower ‘clack’ sound and a drier shake sound.

Kashaka Pro® have been developed to create a Kashaka with the level of quality & durability that would be expected of a professional percussion instrument, while also being affordable for the casual player and for beginners. They are also robust enough to be used in educational settings, workshops, classrooms etc.

The completely spherical high density plastic balls, all with equal sizes, shapes and equally balanced filling helps with the ability to control and to play more advanced kashaka skills. This balance of size, shape and weight also helps with very consistent playing, timing & dynamics – very smooth shaker sounds & clear balanced clicks.

Strength: ‘Made to be Played’ – Kashaka Pro are very strong and will not break during use or if you drop them while playing, nor will they get crushed in your pocket or bag etc.

Sound: Very good balance between click & shake sounds. Each ball is filled with approx 200 (10g) tiny metal split beads, like tiny bells, giving a very smooth shake sound. The small metal beads give very good action & control when played as regular shakers, while also having great balance & momentum when played with kashaka techniques.

Feel: Very smooth, while not too slippery, giving a good ‘grip to slip’ ratio, allowing for very good handling and control for playing advanced skills and moves.

Size: 50mm spherical balls suitable for large hands or anyone who prefers a larger Kashaka.

Weight: Approx 40g per Kashaka (2 balls/1 hand).

Rope: The multi plaited rope is comfortable in the hand and is very strong. Heat sealed ends to prevent fraying. Adjustable for all hand sizes. Supplied with natural cotton Kashaka pouch with kashaka logo. UK shipping is by 1st class post. All international shipping is by Tracked airmail.

Kashaka Pro are made in UK.

All Kashaka prices are for 1 Pair = 4 gourds / 2 ropes – for both hands.

Beautiful instrument, fast delivery and amazing contact from the company. Once I get my head around these I will be buying more from Jon.
    5 stars isn’t enough!

The Kashaka Pro / Pro Large provides a high pitched shake-sound and a nice thud when clacking together. Works well using as just an ordinary shaker. Also, i’ve lost count of how many times I’ve accidentally thrown them through the room/down on the ground, and not a single crack.

  3. Mariano

I bought a pair of Kashaka Pro Large few months ago and I have to say that they are SUPER AWESOME 🙂
Confortable, good balance and very nice sound , specially the shakers 🙂
    THANKS FOR THIS AMAZING CREATION!!

I’ve had my set of these now for almost a year and I’ve been very happy with them.

They have a crisp shaker which can be used just as a shaker as it sounds excellent, very quick and precise. The clack sound is very nice too. I have also thrown these around quite a bit whilst learning – even smacked myself in the face once haha – and they are fine, no cracks. They seem very durable.

Highly recommended! As soon as you can start catching them (which actually isn’t very long) you can’t put them down. This model is definitely made for bigger hands.

    Fast delivery and excellent quality!
The sound of clicks and shaker ist more balanced than with the traditional kashakas – and the shakers allow very subtle playing.

Jon has taught me in 30 minutes what would have taken me many months, I’m sure. This is exactly what I was looking for as far as instruction and breaking things down.
    Great Job Jon!!

These instruments took my kashaka journey to a different level.
Kashaka steel allowed me to refine my clack sounds. The ones produced due to wrist rotation and forearm motion, but specially the ones due to like castanets playing hand motion and ghost notes. The plastic Pro made me to pay more attention to the subdivision and to the shaker sound. Kashaka requires a regular practice like all instruments, so these two little balls will be hitting each other a lot. This is the reason why a long lasting instruments is a most. This is the main reason I started to buy and try several options and brands until I found Kashaka UK. This site is a most for Kashaka enthusiasts and professional players. Instrument’s quality is the top and costumers service and communication is outstanding.

Amazing. Thank you so much for sending everything so quickly and safely and for being so kind and responsive to all my enquiries. Your Kashakas have arrived and they are amazing. I was very pleasantly surprised that I could remove your logo from the Kashakas and just keep them “clean” so to speak. As you mention, not forcing anyone to advertise. “Customer choice” indeed. And the instrument is so well crafted it will make me want to share where did I get this iteration anyways. 😉 Great to have this well made and amazing instrument coming from the place where ego does not get in the way. Highly recommended.
